Beauty Buzz: Stockngo.com offers upscale beauty products at discounted prices

Stockngo.com, an e-commerce site that launched late last year, specializes in discounted beauty products from a handful of high-end brands.

Currently heavy on hair-care products and tools, the site boasts potions, lotions and flat irons from companies including TIGI, Chi, Biosilk, Rusk, Joico and Kerastase. Items are discounted from 7% to 75% off, with most products slashed to around 20% off.

There’s a skinnier selection of skin-care offerings, with a few items each from marquee brands including Clarins and Philosophy.

But the sun-care selection is solid -- featuring favorite self-tanners and SPF lotions from brands including Neutrogena and Coppertone, priced from 9% to 75% off.

Some of the biggest deals on the site include the cult favorite Chi flat irons, which are priced 56% off retail, from $179.99 to $79.99; and a rainbow of Essie nail colors, marked down from $8 to $4.50 each.

Shipping is free on orders over $100, and there are great deals to be had for bulk buys, depending on the product (retailers and salons have standing orders with the site.)

Though Stockngo.com is clearly no Drugstore.com yet, due to its comparatively scant selection, its prices are better on the products it does carry.

Which earns it a hard-won spot on our browser’s ‘favorites’ bar.
