Mother's Day Gifts: Double-takes for matching Moms and daughters

Mother's Day is Sunday, so every day this week we have ideas to inspire your gift-giving.

There’s just no better occasion than Mother’s Day for mom and her mini-me to break out in matching fashion. And we’ve found something for every pair, whether their favored look is classic, feminine or flirty.

Ayala
The season’s stripes have met their match in these timeless T-shirts and onesies by Yala Designs in a silky-soft, eco-friendly bamboo fabric and a multitude of hues. (Bamboo Dreams Kai Boatneck Top, $58, in three colors, and Bamboo Dreams Long-Sleeve Onesie, $30, in 11 colors, at www.yaladesigns.com.

Inca
Given the forecast and fashion inclination, these flapper-inspired fringed swimsuits by Inca are bound to inspire mutual adoration. We can think of many moms who would love one, with or without its pint-sized replica. Inca Jaden Monikini, $250, and IncaGirl Riley bikini, $75; Call (877) 286-5213.  Amilly
And for the budding fashionista, how about a sweet floral frock to match mom’s? Milly Minis grosgrain-trim cotton Party Dress, $165, in sizes 2-6; for mom, a matching Colette Sheath Dress, $315, at www.millyny.com.

Speaking of flowers... If you’re considering a bouquet and looking for a destination to show off your wears, Brentwood Country Mart florist Botany is throwing a Mother’s Day Flower Arranging Tea on Saturday. The workshop includes instruction and supplies to make two of your very own arrangements, for mother and tot, plus goodies from Farmshop. The cost is $50 per mother-and-child pair. For reservations, call (310) 394-0358.
