Royal wedding: Pippa Middleton's dress receives (many) votes of approval
Kate Middleton’s dress isn’t the only garment making headlines just hours after the royal wedding-- her sister and maid of honor Pippa Middleton’s dress is receiving accolades as well.
Pippa’s dress was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, who also designed the bride’s wedding gown. Although it is unusual for a bridesmaid to wear the same color as the bride, many applauded Pippa’s ivory satin-based crepe form-fitting column dress with a cowl neck and the same button detail and lace trims as the bride’s dress.
“I like the counterpoint that they gave each other," said fashion expert Tim Gunn. "Very interesting that Pippa would wear that dress everyone predicted Catherine would wear."

Others have described Pippa’s look as “flawless” (The Daily Mirror). Sherri Shepherd of "The View" wondered if Pippa outshined her sister, and US Weekly described her as the “hottest bridesmaid ever.”

WOW!!!!! Kate looked amazing, Pippa looked amazing. How lovely that the bride let her sister shine also. Lovely girls. Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Yes, but who is that ugly little girl holding Pippa's hand?

She did look lovely, but the dress was a mistake. It should have been a not-too-strong color, more modest, and more creative. White and black for brides' attendants are still not a good idea, and the now-former Miss Middleton could have chosen better. The dress was also unflattering -- too-low neckline plus weird cowl thing creating a strange bustline, the unfortunate near-cap sleeves, and the unforgiving hug-the-body line. She is a beautiful woman, and she got away with it, but it's really too bad that she had to. And would a little real jewelry have hurt? A great cuff bracelet, at least?

What a smile, too. Truly a beautiful and poised young woman. The dress was a knock out. And how endearing that her older sister, who might have thought a bridesmaid should not look so absolutely flat out gorgeous, would allow for her younger sister to shine in this truly stunning Sarah Burton design.
Mark my words - THIS dress will sell out - for years to come. As timeless a dress as the now Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress.
Beautiful.

I was actually disappointed in Kate's dress -- reminded me not so much of Grace Kelly but Katherine of Aragon, one of King Henry VIII's wives. However -- Pippa's dress was absolutely gorgeous -- breathtaking -- Kate should have gone with that style.
P.S. As far as Sherri Shepherd's comment -- I wouldn't listen to her opinion under any circumstances. I watch The View but "mute" when she talks.

Yes, she looked stunning, very pretty.
I loved that Catherine had her sister and her brother in prominent roles...and William had his brother....his family.
That wedding was very well done.

I noticed that when Pippa was carrying the train, that long white gown actually blended in with the gown to make the train look longer and not distract from the bride. if she had been wearing color or anything more decorated, she would have drawn attention instead of just blending in. so brilliant, besided gorgeous
