For eight seasons, Stefano Pilati has been putting out a manifesto filled with musings on the YSL collection. On Saturday, the YSL manifesto will be distributed in the usual major cities it has landed in over the last several years: Hong Kong, Paris, London, Milan and Tokyo, to name a few. And for the first time ever, Los Angeles will be privy to the designer’s collection diary.

Anyone passing by the YSL boutique in Beverly Hills this Saturday might be able to snag the handout, which is being given away in a limited edition tote bag, featuring an image of model Arizona Muse in the YSL spring/summer collection, shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

“I want to create a wider influence for the message that is being sent from the catwalk, by taking imagery of the collection and giving it to people on environmentally friendly paper in the street without targeting a specific demographic,” says Pilati in a statement.

It’s nice to see a luxury brand stick to some form of guerrilla marketing in a world where social media rules.
