Even though fashion is generally about looking forward, Marc Jacobs has found a good reason to look back. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of his younger and less expensive brand, Marc by Marc Jacobs and in true Jacobs fashion, he’s celebrating with events all over the country as well as a limited-edition collection compiled of the brands’ most popular styles.

Who can forget that light olive-colored military jacket that surfaced a few years ago? Or the bold, V-neck, colorful geometric print sundresses that are so easy to throw on with flats during summer? Those make an appearance in the anniversary collection, as well as scarves done in memorable prints from past seasons, skirts and cargo pants all with a dedicated anniversary hang tag.

The collection is rolling into Bloomingdales stores now and anyone who shops the line March 10-20 will get a free gift with a $100 purchase. And in case you’re either a huge Marc by Marc Jacobs fan, or simply like that rebellious teenage attitude infused into the line, you can listen to a soundtrack compiled from past Marc by Marc Jacobs runway shows and featured in past ad campaigns.

Some tracks include, Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit,’ Pavement’s ‘Cut Your Hair’ and the Hot Rats’ ’(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party).’ Get ready to get angst–y.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs 10-year anniversary capsule collection ranges from $68 to $300 and will be available at Bloomingdales Century City, Beverly Center and Santa Monica.
