Golden Globes: Ponytails on the red carpet look sexy not sporty

So far a lot of women gliding down the Golden Globes red carpet have had their hair pulled up into ponytails that look sleek and stylish, rather than sporty and tennis match-ready.

Jessalyn Gilsig, Hailee Steinfeld, Kyra Sedgewick and Piper Perabo are all pairing ponytails with their gowns, to show off their sky-high cheekbones and open necklines or bare shoulders.

Perabo’s ponytail is perfectly polished and flippy; she looks just like a retro Barbie doll in her black Oscar de la Renta dress with black bows on the shoulders.
