90 years of Miss America


What are you doing on Jan. 15? Perhaps you'll consider the possibility of taking a few minutes to observe and honor a longtime American tradition. Granted, it's being staged at the Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas, but hey, it's Miss America. In fact, 90 years of Miss America will be celebrated at this year's festivities, which will include a gathering of at least 50 women who have worn the crown. Jenn Harris takes a look at the current state of things and takes us through a timeline of the last nine decades of singing, dancing and flute playing. So who was the only Miss America to also win the title of Miss Congeniality?
