Canoga Park’s Westfield Topanga shopping center is jumping into the iPhone application game with a proprietary app that helps shoppers digitally navigate the mall, interface with retailers and receive real-time updates on mall events via Facebook.

Downloadable for free from Apple’s iTunes store, or at www.westfield.com, and compatible with the iPhone, iPod and iPad, the new app electronically maps out the massive shopping center’s layout and provides a store directory along with detailed retailer information, customer offers and promotions, and info on special events.

You can also find the show times and movie descriptions for the nearby movie theater, AMC Promenade 16 at Westfield Promenade, and figure out the best places to park for where you’re heading to in the mall.

And the application’s GPS capabilities are good for all Westfield shopping centers -- you can access quick maps and driving directions to each center.

When shopping Westfield Topanga, you can sort the store directory alphabetically, by category or
keyword -- then create a personalized shopping list and mall journey composed of specific retailers,
desired product types and walking routes. And if you’re coming with a baby or kids, you can quickly access information on family lounges, family parking, play spaces and stroller locations.

Westfield Topanga’s app will be available for BlackBerry and Android smart phones in 2011.
