On Sale: Regal accessories from Top Shop
British retailer Top Shop's accessories are always charming, but their prices -- inflated by higher-than-average shipping rates -- aren't always so cute.
Which is why we often scour the company's U.S. site for major sales. And the discounted baubles currently up for grabs are definitely worth a shout-out.
Coinciding with Prince William and Kate Middleton's engagement, the sale pages are full of ladylike pieces with a regal feel, including Victorian-style cocktail rings, demure stud earrings and a fair amount of velvet.
Best of all, the prices are 50% off original retail.
Stand-out pieces include sparkling-but-sweet flower stud earrings that remind us of ones we stole from Grandma's jewelry box when we were little ($14, down from $28), a set of jeweled crimson velvet hair ribbons anchored by bobby pins ($10, down from $20) and an awesomely ostentatious brown-and-gold rhinestone ring that has a bona fide Elizabeth I vibe going for it ($30, from $60).
Now all we need is a shiny tiara to complete the look (we jest, we jest).
