Amazon launches a Black Friday Deals page for deeply discounted merchandise

Sorel Before you hit the packed-to-the-gills malls on Black Friday, check out Amazon.com's Black Friday Deals page, which features a host of items in the fashion, electronics, music and movies categories at deeply discounted prices (we're talkin' 20% to 75% off retail, people).

The page will be live through Cyber Monday (this coming Monday) and all items on the page are eligible for free two-day shipping.

Each day through Monday, the page will feature a heavily discounted "Deal of the Day," along with limited-time, doorbuster-style "Lightning Deals."

A sampling of deals that are (or will be) posted on the site over the next few days: a Flip MinoHD Video Camera, down from $229.99 to $109.99; “The Blind Side” DVD, priced at $3.99, down from $19.99; and an AK Anne Klein Women’s Swarovski Crystal Watch, selling for $29.99, down from $70.

“We see more people choosing to shop online on Black Friday so we’re providing customers killer deals now through Cyber Monday, and we’re working hard to meet or beat the lowest prices out there,” said Paul Ryder, vice president of electronics for Amazon.com.

No surprise there.
