Them Atelier: Echo Park-based arts collective, custom jeans maker and quarterly magazine publisher Them Atelier expands its mini-empire to include a ready-to-wear collection of souped-up basics for men and women (think louche sweaters, tank-tops and jeans), all for under $100.

Nordstrom Cosmetics Trend Show Saturday: Test-drive the newest makeup, skin-care and fragrance releases from major cosmetics companies at this daylong beauty event. Tickets are $15 and are redeemable toward a cosmetics purchase Saturday. Buy a ticket at any Nordstrom cosmetics counter.
