In Monday’s Los Angeles Times Business section, my colleague Hugo Martín reports that Delta’s Sky magazine recently rejected an ad from Scottevest -- the company that makes those multi-pocketed travel vests big enough to stow an iPad. You can read the whole story -- and the publisher’s response -- here.

Refusing to run the ad is one thing, but it makes me wonder if the days of no-fly fashion are far behind, when an individual wearing one of these vests, coats or jackets -- or one like it -- is kept from boarding due to overly stuffed pockets.

Although the more likely scenario is that it will just give rise to one very expensive new coat check. So one of those 22 pockets better have a wad of cash in it.
