-- You think it’s easy being Paris Hilton? No, it’s not! In fact, she’s being sued by a company that makes hair extensions. The suit claims she wore extensions from a competitor and that act violated a contract she had with the company. Hairtech International is asking for $35 million in damages. [NYDN]

-- He’s a photographer as well as a designer. In fact, Karl Lagerfeld shoots Chanel’s ad campaigns and is responsible for several books of photography. The natural follow-up? A photo exhibit, at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, which opens next month. [Vogue UK]

-- Burberry, it seems, is having a splendid year -- profits are up 7%. And its CEO is having a splendid year as well. Angela Ahrendts has sold 400,000 of her shares in the luxury goods label. But don’t fret -- she’s got a few shares left and a few stock options as well. [VogueUK]

Yes, we too thought the Justin Bieber/Kim Kardashian ‘meet cute’ in Washington, D.C., in May at the White House correspondents’ dinner was slightly peculiar. (She’s 29; he’s 16.) But their celebrity relationship isn’t quite over. Elle magazine has somehow convinced them to cavort on a beach together and the results are in the September issue. [NYDN]

And, speaking of fall magazines, Halle Barry’s on the cover of September Vogue, the first African American woman on a September cover since 1989. [The Cut]
