A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a story about hotels collaborating with fashion designers on exclusive products. And now I hear about a new example right in our back yard.

Coinciding with the opening of the new Santa Monica Place this weekend, the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows has teamed up with Tory Burch on the new Effortless Retreat package. Guests who book the package will receive a Tory tote, beach towel and $100 gift card to Santa Monica Place. (A new Tory Burch boutique opens there Aug. 26.) The package also includes bungalow accommodations, dinner for two at Ray Garcia’s FIG Restaurant and a pedicure at the hotel’s Exhale spa.

Sounds like a pretty fab weekend to me.

The Effortless Retreat Package is available now through Oct. 12, with rates starting at $499 a night based on double occupancy.
