A perm that promises natural-looking beachy waves

Beachywaves

It seems that perms are back -- but don’t worry, we're not talking about the '80s spiral perm that required a bottle of Paul Mitchell mousse and an hour of pick combing to separate the strands. Prive salon has a treatment that gives you those soft, undulating, I-just-came-back-from-the-beach waves, and they’re supposed to last for eight to 10 weeks.

The semi-permanent treatment takes about two hours to do. Hair is wrapped around squishy foam blocks to give the hair a loose, natural texture. You can get the curls in a size done to your liking, but the result should look like a Bond girl emerging from the ocean with a head full of perfectly tousled beach tendrils.

The Prive Beach Wave treatment is bound to be a hit with celebs such as Kate Hudson, Vanessa Hudgens, Nicole Richie, and with anyone who strives to have the same bohemian locks without the high maintenance of a double-barrel curling iron.

The Prive Beach Wave treatment starts at $200 and is available at Prive salon, 7373 Beverly Blvd. Los Angeles.
