Your morning fashion and beauty report: Style advice for Snooki. Shoes and accessories to the retail industry's rescue. Target shows off the goodies for fall

Instant celebrity via reality TV does NOT impart instant style. Take Snooki of "Jersey Shore" fame -- she could use a dose of Proenza Schouler. [WWD]

I went shoe shopping this weekend and bought seven pairs of shoes, one pair of boots for my daughter and for myself, and one purse). Turns out I'm in the vanguard: Accessories are helping the retail industry regain its footing; sales increased 20% in the first quarter of this year. [WWD] (subscription required)

And as if she knew accessories are all the rage, Ivanka Trump is launching a line of handbags. [People]

Jones apparel group has inked a licensing deal with Inter Parfums USA for Nine West fragrances. [WWD] (subscription required)

Word's out that Orlando Bloom quietly married model girlfriend Miranda Kerr, but details so far are secret. Of course the one thing we want to know is: What'd she wear? [People]

Polo has been on my mind since reading Adam Tschorn's interview with Black Watch captain Nacho Figueras (who is also the face of Ralph Lauren Polo fragrances) [Los Angeles Times], so it was a treat to see what people were wearing at the Cartier International Day at Guards Polo Club in Windsor Great Park. In game action, England drubbed New Zealand; in fashion action, former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell wore a blue bandage minidress. [Telegraph]

Target's "look book" for its fall accessories shows covetable leopard pumps, colorful scarves, a chunky leaf necklace and more that will make it easy to slide into autumn fashionably. [FabSugar]

Just call them R-Pants: Marks & Spencer's new line of slim-fit underwear for men in the U.K. was inspired by "Twilight's" Robert Pattinson. [Guardian]

Now that Ms. Lohan is incarcerated, "Free Lindsay" T-shirts, totes and even thong underwear has been showing up on websites including [StyleList] (I think the R-Pants would be a better investment.)
