Hollywood jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer (who’s hitched to actor Tobey Maguire) is famous for her delicate nature-inspired jewelry, including her ubiquitous gold leaf pendant necklaces.

But her newest line is anything but staid. The Word collection is a modern riff off of the Carrie Bradshaw “ghetto gold” nameplate necklace, featuring 18-karat-gold necklaces and stud earrings that spell out some of Meyers’ favorite words and phrases: love, kiss, beso, me, sweet, loveyou, sweetpea and sweetheart, among them.

The one-word stud earrings are meant to be mixed and matched. “A friend of mine bought her best friend the studs ‘you’ and ‘me’ to symbolize their friendship,” said Meyer. Word necklaces are also available sprinkled with pave diamonds. Prices range from $275 for single earrings to $2,600 for a blinged-out “loveyou” necklace on ShopBop.com.

“Many of my pieces are symbolic in nonliteral ways, such as the good luck charm or ‘Ohm’ necklaces,” said Meyer. “I thought it would be fun to design pieces that were more literal … something you could buy for yourself or a loved one that was a true statement. Mostly, I wanted to focus on words that conjure up feelings about someone you love.”
