Whether you’re in the market for an engagement ring or just have a case of the “mean reds,” a new iPhone app lets you “window shop” through a collection of rings and settings right down to the cut, carat and metal you desire.

Tiffany & Co.’s engagement ring finder is now a downloadable application for the iPhone that covers all bases of ring shopping, right down to finding the right size ring for your fourth finger. Just put a ring you already own on the screen and adjust the size of the shaded circle on the screen to the exact circumference of your actual ring and you (or rather, your-fiancé-to-be) will immediately know what size is right, so you can start wearing that puppy the second you’re proposed to rather than waiting three weeks to have it sized.

Of course the best part (besides being able to pump up the size of the diamond, to see what 3 carats will look like on your finger) is that you can e-mail a picture of the ring or post it straight to your Facebook page, in order to drop a not-so-subtle hint that you are indeed ready for your rock.
