Shape up with Shape magazine in Santa Monica this weekend

Shape Magazine’s Bikini Body Tour hits the sand this Saturday at Santa Monica Beach.

This is the second stop for the annual tour, which kicked off in Miami’s South Beach in May and is dedicated to helping women get ready for bikini season. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. attendees will gather in the area of Lot 4, just south of the pier, to participate in exercise classes, take in all-day fashion shows and visit interactive beauty cabanas. From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., current Shape covergirl Kim Kardashian will be on hand to sign her cover.

Most of the day’s events are free, but there is a $10 fee for each exercise class. They will be led by Equinox Group fitness instructors and have titles like ‘Sexy Surfer Workout,’ ‘Beach Body Band Camp’ and ‘Beach Party Band Jam.’ A portion the proceeds will go to benefit the Skin Cancer Foundation. People who pre-register will receive a ‘swag bag’ of products, and some classes have already sold out, so don’t procrastinate!

It promises to ‘shape up’ to be a fun day. And one that will definitely get you ready to wear some of this year’s most fashionable swimwear.
