Do you go weak in the knees when you walk into Sephora? Feel faint at the sight of a MAC?

If you’re a makeup maven, get ready for major euphoria this weekend when the International Make-Up Artists Trade Show comes to the Pasadena Convention Center. Although this should be a huge draw for professionals, it’s also open to the public. The most prestigious brands around -- including Bobbi Brown, MAC, Urban Decay and Make Up Forever -- will unveil new products and tools and offer discounts on old ones.

Celebrity artists will offer classes and demonstrate techniques. Other highlights include a couture bridal show sponsored by The Knot magazine; the Make-Up Museum featuring makeup special effects, animatronics, sculptures and more from some best-loved films; and a panel discussion featuring the artists behind the characters’ looks in Tim Burton’s ‘Alice in Wonderland.’

The show is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, with some master classes Friday and Monday. Advance ticket sales end at 5 p.m. Thursday ($65 for a two-day pass, $35 for one day, $20 for exhibit floor admission only), but you can buy tickets at the door for $5 more for the passes. Floor admission only will be the same price. Children’s tickets are $15 for ages 5 to 10. The Pasadena Convention Center is at 300 Green Street.
