Bearded & Tschorn: Dr. Phil's mustache gets its wings -- and halo

I don't know what craziness went into the decision to have Oprah Winfrey shave off Dr. Phil McGraw's 40-year-old lip spinach during a live taping of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on Friday, but I applaud it wholeheartedly.

I kind of envision it as having winged its way up to hirsute heaven where it will no doubt have a hard time making friends with the strike beards, and inevitably try to get Hitler's toothbrush 'stache to change its Rage_mcgraw2 attitude.

The funny thing is, based on the "after" photo, the mustache-less McGraw (at left) still kind of looks like he has a mustache -- only it's a flesh-colored version -- or maybe my brain is just drawing in what it thinks should be there.

So, weigh in: Which Dr. Phil do you prefer?
