Thursday night at the recently opened Missoni boutique in Beverly Hills, celebs, stylists and socialites flocked to their friend Derek Blasberg’s side to celebrate his new book, “Classy,” and, of course, pose for plenty of pictures.

Hosted by Margherita Missoni, Nicole Richie and perhaps the most ubiquitous fashion party headliner, Kate Bosworth, the event (just one in a string of many parties surrounding this book; New York, San Francisco and Chicago have already happened) drew other bold-face fashion fixtures such as Liz Goldwyn, Dasha Zhukova, Malin Akerman, Devon Aoki, Peaches Geldof, Mischa Barton and China Chow.

Blasberg gave us a break down on what being “Classy” entails in a previously posted Q & A, and it seems his sartorial advice has reached some of his starlet pals, who showed up to the party looking very ladylike. Most of them were appropriately decked out in summery cocktail dresses that fell at appropriate lengths (no crotch shots getting out of a limo), with Bosworth, Richie and Missoni swathed in pale shades of Missoni spring/summer 2010.

The night’s most inescapable style element was the headgear worn by Missoni, Richie and Tatiana Santo Domingo, who sported either scarves worn head-wrap-style (Missoni scarves, natch) or a gold chain draped on top of the head. I suppose the gypsy-drapey vibe of the Italian house’s colorful creations inspires girls to go full on boho.

With what seems like an army of classy celebrity friends, some of whom (Nicole Richie) know the road from trashy to classy first hand, Blasberg -- a sort of self-made social fixture himself -- should have no problem transforming and informing ladies who are looking for a little polish and refinement. He may also want to drop off a copy at Lindsay Lohan’s house before he heads home to New York.
