Kate Hudson can add ‘campaign model’ to her resume. The actress has been tapped by drugstore cosmetics brand Almay as its newest brand ambassador.

In her role as the new face of Almay (which is owned by Revlon Inc.), Hudson will represent new and existing Almay products and will appear in global multimedia campaigns, including on TV and in print and in-store ads. The first campaign is poised to roll out later this year.

‘Kate is a perfect ambassador for the Almay brand,’ said Revlon President and Chief Executive Alan T. Ennis. ‘She is smart, confident and vivacious. Her energy and youthful spirit are contagious.’

Hudson will be bringing that same ‘youthful spirit’ to various company-sponsored philanthropic and fundraising events. Already, she’s slated to represent the brand at the Almay Rainforest Concert on May 13 at Carnegie Hall in New York City -- which benefits The Rainforest Foundation, founded by Sting and Trudie Styler.

‘Almay is known for its fresh, effortless approach to beauty,’ said Hudson in a statement. ‘I share that philosophy and I’m honored to be partnering with a brand that believes cosmetics should bring out the natural beauty inside every woman. At the end of the day we all want to have fun and feel beautiful -- that’s what Almay is all about.’
