To promote his forthcoming Target collection, designer Zac Posen tapped budding filmmaker Gia Coppola (of the famous Coppola clan) and all-girl indie band the Like to create a stylish short viral video -- a move that’s becoming nearly de rigueur when launching a fashion collection these days.

The roughly five-minute video shows the band getting ready to hit the stage in a hotel room -- filmed in crisp black and white -- practicing a song and getting suited up in pieces from the collection. Then the band hits a light-strewn sound stage and rips through its hit song ‘Fair Game.’

Coppola, who’s been friends with members of the girl group since high school, was inspired by old footage of the Beatles in their hotel room.
The Zac Posen for Target collection -- which spins classic silhouettes from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s into trend-right clothes for the college-aged set -- will be on sale in select Target stores and on Target.com on April 25 (through May 30). Prices range from $17.99 to $199.99.
