Sweet P (a.k.a. Kathleen Vaughn), one of the most likable designer’s in ‘Project Runway’s’ history, has signed on as a lead designer for Trixxi Clothing Company -- a moderately prices dress and sportswear company based in L.A. that sells at Macy’s and Nordstrom, among other retailers.

Despite her title, Sweet P will be collaborating with other ‘lead’ designers in the company. She recently showed her first collection for the brand at New York market, and is busy planning the summer and fall sportswear lines.

“I hope to add my quirky sensibility of light fun and frivolity to the line,” she said. “It’s exciting to be part of a progressive female-led company that is both fast-paced and family-oriented. The team here is unlike any place I’ve ever worked and I’m so excited to be a part of their continued growth.”

Prior to her “Project Runway” stint, the L.A. resident designed a sleepwear line called Sweet P. And before that, she spent four years as a designer for Bebe. Her whimsical aesthetic seems a perfect fit for Trixxi’s girly, twirly look.
