Both Mariah Carey and Mo’Nique have walked down the red carpet in varying shades of deep blue or “Sapphire,” if you will. An obvious nod to the author of the book Push on which “Precious” was based.

My prediction is that when Gabourey Sidibe arrives, she too will be wearing blue.

[UPDATED: 6:31 p.m.] As predicted, when Sidibe turned out on the red carpet, she went for the hue too -- wearing a beaded blue Marchesa gown.
