Oscar red carpet: Prada’s fashion coup with Carey Mulligan

Not since Uma Thurman wore the pale lavender silk and chiffon Prada gown in 1995 has the Italian house had such a memorable Oscar moment as Carey Mulligan is making tonight in her black strapless dress, also from the label. The gown has a voluminous skirt and an embroidery of flower-shaped Swarovski crystals.

Her blond pixie cut is a gorgeous contrast to the jet black dress, as are her simple and elegant shoulder duster earrings.
