Let the Oscar bling games begin!

This week leading up to the Oscars, jewelry and accessory companies are holding events at which all of their most stunning and awards-show-worthy pieces are on display for stylists and celebs to come by and see (and hopefully wear on the red carpet).

From Harry Winston to Swarovski, the bling is all out and the race for placement on the right celeb has begun.

I paid a visit to the Swarovski showroom this morning and was pleasantly surprised by the new and vintage offerings. Because the pieces aren’t made from precious stones, they can really pile on the sparkly stuff to make some pretty creative pieces.

They’re not for the celeb who wants to come looking like your basic belle of the ball, but rather for someone who will take a bit of a fashion risk – and isn’t that what we really want to see anyway?
