Miu Miu is going mens-y for spring. Prada’s stylish sister brand recently released a capsule collection of guy-inspired lace-up loafers heavy on the razzle-dazzle.

It’s an unexpected turn for the brand, which is famous for its vampy heels and wedges. But then hints of a more subdued Miu Miu surfaced for fall 2009, when the brand released a capsule collection of ballet flats.

But don’t look for the understated in the menswear-inspired collection, which is priced from $550 to $750. The heavily adorned line features Michael Jackson-meets-Fred Astaire blue glittery loafers and styles riddled with tiny silver studs, which perforate the leather and are heat-dried into place.

The glitzy, ‘80s-inspired shoes are the perfect kicks for spring -- lending that elusively cool Alexa Chung/Sofia Coppola vibe to baggy jeans and pants and skirts of all silhouettes.
