Amanda Seyfried channeled an old Hollywood screen siren with a modern twist for the premier of her new film, “Chloe.” Hollywood glam is certainly nothing new when it comes to, well, Hollywood, but Seyfried’s look felt fresh and age-appropriate.

To get the gentle waves in her blond locks, stylist Renato Camporo (who also coifs Kate Winslet’s) used an anti-frizz silkening cream from Frederic Fekkai. For the soft curls in front, Camporo took a 1-inch barrel curling iron to the hair. He then separated the back of the hair into two sections, pulling one part into a low chignon and blending the other into the front waves.

To keep the suspended look of the curls, Camporo covered the hairstyle in a veil of sheer hold hair spray, also from Fekkai. The soft curls frame Seyfried’s face better than the more severe hairstyles I’ve seen on the actress lately, which tend to look too serious and age her beyond her 24 years.
