British costume designer Sandy Powell took home her third Academy Award in eight nominations for her work on the film ‘Young Victoria.’ She’s also received Oscars for ‘Shakespeare in Love’ (in 1998), and ‘The Aviator’ (in 2004).

The year’s getting off to a good start for Powell, who in February took home the best costume award at the British Academy Film Awards as well as two awards at the Costume Designers Guild Awards (pictured above); one for Excellence in Period Film and one for Career Achievement in Film.
