Hat trick: 'Young Victoria' earns Sandy Powell a third Oscar for costume design
British costume designer Sandy Powell took home her third Academy Award in eight nominations for her work on the film "Young Victoria." She's also received Oscars for "Shakespeare in Love" (in 1998), and "The Aviator" (in 2004).
The year's getting off to a good start for Powell, who in February took home the best costume award at the British Academy Film Awards as well as two awards at the Costume Designers Guild Awards (pictured above); one for Excellence in Period Film and one for Career Achievement in Film.

I am so shocked that no one commented on Sandy's dress that she was wearing at the Osacars. The fabric was outstanding and she looked like some one of importance. You people in the news media did not emphacise that. I would like to know if some designer compied her dress? I would love to wear the copy to a wedding in September of this year. Please respond as to where I can purchase a copy.
Thanks,
Deanie
