A Peace Treaty believes in fashion, not friction

Friends Farah Malik and Dana Arbib met while living in Rome and discovered a mutual love of fashion. Together they created the line A Peace Treaty, which speaks to a creative common ground despite their backgrounds: Malik is a Pakistani Muslim and Arbib is a Libyan Jew.

The ladies draw on the rich histories and local artisans of areas of the world that are facing socio-political strife, employing local craftspeople to create accessories based on the region’s techniques and culture.

The result is a line full of ethnic accessories that are more covetable and fashion-forward (not to mention more pricey) than what you’ll find at your local Cost Plus. I especially like the jewelry that has a rich, weighty feel and brassy finish. It’s exotic, but wearable for everyday.
