Why text(ure) when you can Twitter? Social-media-themed tights

In Sunday’s Image section, Times stylist Melissa Magsaysay discussed the hot trend in textured and decorated tights, stating that ‘patterned tights have become a key accessory, adding another texture, print or layer to an outfit.’

But why limit your exposure to just texture? Blogger Casie Stewart points us to Etsy sellers Gabby and Tal of Tattoo Socks’ Twitter-themed thigh-highs and tights, featuring a cute black bird and those ubiquitous two words: ‘Follow me.’ The whole look resembles a semi-permanent tattoo, which is kind of perfect considering it represents what many consider a fad. Nicknamed ‘stalkings’ by the sellers, the thigh-highs retail for $18; the tights are $23.
