The Jet Set celebrates Rimowa luggage store opening

Many celebs have said so long to trolleys full of monogrammed Louis Vuitton and Goyard luggage when toting their designer wares, evening gowns and borrowed jewels through an airport terminal. With the exception of stars like Jessica Simpson and maybe Mariah Carey who still loudly sport high end labels emblazoned on their luggage, most wheel around a German brand called Rimowa.

The sleek, lightweight and spin-able luggage is a favorite among people like Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio and Reese Witherspoon, and Tuesday night more star wattage showed up to christen the brand’s new Rodeo Drive boutique.

Aaron Eckhart played party host to fellow actors such as Jeremy Piven, Amy Smart, Billy Zane, and Cory Monteith and Mark Salling from “Glee.” Stylists such as Rachel Zoe and plenty of other fashion insiders also came to the party to test out the hard-case luggage and point out which pieces would be on their “must have” wish lists this season.

No doubt Rimowa luggage will be making regular appearances in weekly mags and paparazzi shots as stars continue to lug the company’s practical bags with them all around the world.
