After the Golden Globes ceremony ended Sunday, stars took to filling up ballrooms and tented rooftops at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to let loose and hit the dance floor.

Upstairs at the NBC-Cartier party, cast members from ’30 Rock’ and ‘Community’ gathered beneath the mirrored curtain decor. Tina Fey’s tea-length Zac Posen dress was feminine and flirty and a nice contrast to the garnet gown worn by her pal Amy Poehler.

The style stopped at the celebs unfortunately. There were so many guests at the party dressed in Zum Zum-esque prom attire; one young lady even stuck her BlackBerry in the cleavage of her skintight, black mini-dress adorned with silver zippers. As my co-worker’s boyfriend put it, “Toward the end of the night at Golden Globes after-parties, it starts to look like an open casting for ‘Entourage.’”
But thankfully the DJ was amazing, playing hits from Michael Jackson and Beyonce, and the atmosphere was all around festive and uplifting.

Downstairs, celebrities such as Carey Mulligan and Jeanne Tripplehorn navigated their way through the crowd and rain, trying not to drag their dresses on the soaked carpet. Lauren Graham also pushed her way through, stopping to take a compliment from a fan who admired her tiered, diamond chandelier earrings, which were almost as impressive as the 90-carat diamond bracelet from Lorraine Schwartz hanging from the actress’ wrist. “Thanks!” said Graham. “They go back tomorrow.”
