Maybe it’s all the time he spent in L.A. filming last season’s ‘Project Runway’ that has Michael Kors gleaning inspiration from the Golden State for his recent cosmetic collection. The designer has teamed up with Estee Lauder to create a limited edition makeup line, called Very Hollywood.

While his fragrance of the same name came out several months ago, the two collections of cosmetics called Bel Air Beige and Rodeo Pink hit beauty counters this week and will sell for the next three months until stock runs out.

Kors states in a press release that for the Rodeo Pink palette, he was inspired by “the iconic pink of the flowers that line Rodeo Drive and the bright colors of the homes in the Hollywood Hills.” I personally don’t recall any pink flowers on Rodeo or bright homes in the hills. Perhaps he’s thinking of the Beverly Hills Hotel? Either way, the first color that comes to mind when thinking of Rodeo isn’t pink, it’s green.
