It’s official: Air Jordan 11 Retro Space Jams to drop Dec. 23rd

A breaking news alert posted at the Jordan brand website this morning announced that the much anticipated Air Jordan XI (11) Retro Space Jam kicks -- which the company wouldn’t even talk about last month -- will indeed officially hit stores Dec. 23. Although that’s the date we actually reported last month (based on our input from the sneakerhead community), Nike says it’s a day earlier than the company had planned.

Here’s the text:

Initially set to release on Christmas Eve as a special gift from Jordan to sneaker fans everywhere, the launch date for the Air Jordan Retro 11 has been moved a day up to December 23rd. This change will give everyone more opportunity to get their 11’s before retailers close their doors early on Christmas Eve.
