'Eight is Too Much' Kate Gosselin-inspired Halloween wig sells out at Ricky's
Ricky’s, a New York cosmetic chain that also retails online, releases an exclusive line of costumes inspired by this year’s tabloid headliners.
Revelers can turn up as a convicted financial charlatan who made off with investor’s dough in “Whack the Ponzi Schemer” ($49.99) that comes with a full-face mask, orange prison jumpsuit with a bulls-eye on the back, handcuffs and a blow-up “whack-a-mole” hammer.
Another local media-saturated personality is also invoked with “Womb Raider” ($29.99), which contains a military-style black sash decorated with eight plastic babies.
It appears that a certain reality-TV casualty is inspiring the most dress-a-likes. Ricky’s ”Eight Is Too Much Wig” ($19.99), which replicates Gosselin's trademark long bangs and cropped top ‘do, appears to have already sold out online.
