Kate Gosselin trades in her signature hair flap for finger waves

Like it or not, people are fascinated by Kate Gosselin’s hair.  So today when she emerged on to the set of "The View" as guest host with a slightly new coif, everyone took notice. 

 
Anything would have been an improvement from the hair flap/bang thing that hung over her one eye, but whatever the backstage hair team did makes all her layers flow together so they actually look like they belong on one head. 

A colleague made the keen observation that Gosselin was even channeling Katherine Heigl a bit with her old Hollywood hairdo. 

What do you think? Is this a major improvement? Or will Kate always have bad taste in hairstyles?

Kate has a mean personality and a cold heart. Even if she had a clue about what do do with her hair, which she doesn't, she'd still be a harsh and abusive woman whose only claim to fame is exploiting her children.

I think it looks great!!! I think she is tring so hard to do
what is in the best interest of her children. So be it if she want to get a new do.Have her nail done,campoutside if
she can go to bed at night and say I made my children happy today. They were safe. and they know that I love them with all of my heart and soul. That is all that will matter in 30 years. When those 8 children come and say moma you did your best!! So Kate I say to you do your best and love hard.

Seriously - they should have shown a side photo here. All Katherine Heigl in the front and then shaved dark brown head in the back? Please. Kate Gosselin makes herself a victim by talking about being a single mother while she is in NYC - away from all of her kids. Kate is NOT a single mother. Mothers who "love" Kate need to look very carefully at how they treat their own children - hopefully they aren't as demeaning and disrespectful of their own children - she is not a good example.

Kate is a single mom raising 8 kids which means that she needs to be firm. Anyone raising children should know that children THRIVE when they know what is coming - they need schedules and consistancy and in that relationship/marriage I think Kate was the only one providing the children with what they need most: discipline and schedules. Jon is a non-parent. He's like an uncle - there for the good moments to hug, run, tickle but in the thick of it retreats to his own selfish corner. I wonder how many posters out there are raising 8 children under the age of 10 - with 6 being the same age - My point is we should judge others less and live our own lives better and the world would be a much better place for all of our children. Her hair has nothing to do with the type of person or mother she is - we teach our children not to lable and judge while we snicker in the media and blogs about someone's hair.

She looks less like a skank. I'm sick of hearing that nothings her fault and that Jon is a scum. She's no innocent partner. I watched the show for years and she was horrible to Jon. I don't watch now cause shes a fake. She has gone hollywood and thats sad. I pity her children. "No personal success can compensate for failure in the home."

Kate Gosselin has no clue what it is like to be a single mother and I am so sick of her whining about how tough it is. How tough is it to live in a mansion, have lots of help, and a film crew who sets up your tents and outdoor movies. I am so over her mantra of everything I do is for the kids. Do you remember the episode where she looks out the window of her mansion and says, "It's all mine". She does what she does for herself. Most families raise their children on nurses and technician incomes. She sold her kids for cash. She should be ashamed of herself and her greed. She needs to get a taste of reality. Take her off the air.

Thank you Mish! You have said exactly what I was going to say. I am tired of hearing her say "It's tough being a single mom". She has more help and financial resources than most other single mother's have. She's "making memories" all right! I have stopped watching "the Kae Show".

I LOVED THE OLD HAIR STYLE!!! Just because you don't like how she treated Jon on the show doesn't mean that you should relate that to her hair. It's Victoria Beckham's hairstyle and nobody is saying anything against her. Please don't hate on the haircut and ruin it for all of the ladies that have this cute cut.

I think that she looks amazing. Kate is a beautiful woman. I give her credit, being a single parent isnt always easy, and I have 1 child. Jon is a douche who didn't know what he had.
