Anna Sui for Target collection

Look_04 So long to "Sex and the City’s" reign as pop culture’s sartorial zeitgeist. Anna Sui’s new collection for Target poses the question: Are you a Blair, Jenny, Serena or Vanessa?

Inspired by the characters on "Gossip Girl," Sui’s line for the mega retailer infuses the on-screen style of each Upper East Side, prepster/party girl with Sui’s signature vintage aesthetic. The result: Some really cute, kicky dresses that look to be short, short, short. Perfect for a pair of knee socks.

Anna Sui for Target lands in Target stores on Sept. 13 -- the day before the season premiere of "Gossip Girl."

I worked for anna sui for 2 years. she is totally selling out some of her best designs for a quick buck. Some of these dresses arent just a mediocre designs but the best ones i remember. snatch up this stuff girls while you can.

Agree with Dori. These are not from Gossip Girl.
These are designs from AS' 2006 and 2007 collections that she sold or licensed to Target.
Some are well, executed, some are not. They are like AS
minitures of her previous runway collections.

Some of the dresses were cute, but they were clearly made for pre-teens and teen girls. The dresses are SO short, and even the larger sizes (5-7) were cut really small. And many of the pieces were completely sheer. I know they were intended to go with leggings, but if you are over 18, you really shouldn't be wearing leggings. I get that the point was to model the clothes on the teens in gossip girl, it just would've been nice if AS had had a broader range in who could wear the pieces - other Target designers have been great about that.
