Michelle Obama's new hairdo or don't?

Michelle Obama new hairstyle new hairdo

Don't call it the Rachel, the Farrah or even the Kate (Gosselin). First Lady and fashion plate Michelle Obama showed off a new bob hairstyle that's all her own at a country music celebration at the White House last night. The shorter look is no doubt cooler for summer, but it reads a bit matronly to me. What do you think? Modern or matronly?

Never liked her overall clothing style to begin with but I think this hair is cute on her. It gives her a softer, younger look. However, I liked the longer style a little better.

As for focusing on her style and not her vision, background, and so on... she's not the president. Of course people are going to focus on her clothes, hair, overall appearance and how she handles herself. She's no Eleanor Roosevelt, people. Our first lady is the one who is showing us her sense of style with the sleeveless outfits. (Love that!) If she can get us to check on what she's wearing and how she looks, there may be some that may listen long enough to hear her message. Whatever works within reason to get people to focus on her views is fine with me. What if she dressed down and looked sloppy every single day? People would be picking on her. She looks cute with this look and people are just saying so.

you got to love the first lady. :-)

She looks just like the "First Grandmother"!!

Lol, lol, lol......

Until the nest time........

I love it; she looks beautiful in a MODERN way!

I believe it is a wig. We all have bad hair days. Great solution.

She looks chic and sophisticated in this photo - as she always does. She has a natural style of sense and so far she has always managed to keep me searching for photos of her.

It's Fresh, Fresh, Fresh! If some consider her new do
matronly, maybe they need to see a picture of "my" 70 year old mother. The last I checked Ms.Obama is a few decades away from that.

I don't care what that woman dress, how she fix her hair, if she look good in shorts or not. I personaly think that Michelle Obama and her oldest girl with her bouncing hair needs to learn how to walk. I hate to say it, that woman don't have any class.

does this help out us

Matronly for sure.

It fits her face. I think it gives her a little edge.

I think it is fabulous and certainly isn't matronly at all. She is a young woman and has a young hair style to go with her active life.
You go girl!!!

While I think the new hair do is attractive why did she have to premiere it at VP Joe Biden's granmother's funeral?
Little self serving if you ask me.

I think it looks really great!

I just want to know how much she paid for the "do". I highly doubt that she took a trip to her local WalMart, like common folk do, for a $10 cut. Since she is the First Lady with the largest, and most expensive, entourage of ladies-in-waiting EVER, I can see her spending alot of free taxpayer money to look nice.

How about something more ethnic, a la Angela Davis or Cicely Tyson? I could enjoy that kind of style on the First Lady. Black history month is just around the corner. I'd like to see her go for it.

I think Michelle Obama's new do is beautiful. It shows off her face and is 'in.' It is NOT matronly. Matrons wish their hair did look as good.

I think it is a wonderful look on her. She looks younger and the do also makes her face more slender and softer looking. Very attractive and elegant as well!

i call it the jackie, the white house years. oh yeah.

Cool. Chic. Modern. Youthful. It stress her beauty and happy demeanor. After 60 years someone tops Jackie!

I love it! I don't think it makes her look old at all. It is so versatile. I love her look at the recent State Dinner. She put the Mexican presidents' wife to shame.
