Found Denim designers Lana Cretz and Sara Watson set out to “destroy” jeans last night during a party held at the Revolve Clothing store in West Hollywood. The duo worked behind sewing machines and a table full of gadgets that looked like medieval torture tools, custom nicking, ripping and slashing jeans for anyone who bought a pair of Found jeans during the event.

With the popularity of distressed denim growing even more as summer rolls on, you may want to think about making it a DIY project of your own.

For those who turned to the pros at last night’s event, there were plenty of soft tacos fresh from a taco truck and Champagne to keep them occupied while waiting for their jeans to get wrecked.

If you don’t know Found, it’s a denim line to watch or try on, if you’re in the market for a new pair of jeans. Cretz was the creative director at AG and Hudson before launching the Found label with Watson two years ago, and they’ve nailed a great fit, especially with the Symone skinny jean and Abilene wide leg. Nicking not required, but judging by the hip crowd at last night’s party, it’s clearly what the cool kids are doing.
