Dressed to impress at ‘Diamond Dogs’

I’m always so sad when going out to an L.A. club (which is a rare night, but I do get out occasionally). They’re overcrowded and you can’t get a drink. But the worst part is the herds of people are all dressed the same in badly boot cut or skinny jeans with a “flowy” top and the same Louboutins as all of their friends.

So, venturing out to H’Wood on Thursday for the debut of “Diamond Dogs” was a huge treat -- the music, people watching and sartorial splendor were all completely inspiring. Dancers swiveled around atop booths wearing Bob Mackie and sparkly dog collars designed by Michael Schmidt. The crowd wore sequins, tuxes, skinny suits, feathers and fluorescent clothing -- it was a mixed bag in the best way. Party producer Bryan Rabin shined in a bejeweled, white Bob Mackie tuxedo, mingling with his eclectic mélange of guests that included Arianne Phillips, Adam Levine and Dita Von Teese.

OK, so the line for the bar was a little long, but who needs a drink when you’ve got all that eye candy?
