Wow, clothing sales and a chance to do a good deed? On Thursday, Loehmann’s department stores are hosting Fashion Funds Hope. Anyone who donates an extra $5 toward the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund will get an extra 15% off his or her purchase that day. Loehmann’s will also donate 5% of total purchases by donor to OCRF.

According to the news release, OCRF ‘focuses its efforts on three programs. The Program Project Development Award provides a three-year grant for groups of investigators who develop forward-thinking grant applications. The Liz Tilberis Scholars Program, named for the former editor in chief of Harper’s Bazaar who helmed OCRF until her death, allows post-doctoral and post-fellowship researchers to devote three years to cutting-edge ovarian cancer research. Finally, OCRF’s Training Program of Excellence encourages research careers by enabling talented post-doctoral students to study with a mentor in the field.’
