Adventures in gift giving: Lululemon gym bag

I’ve never been fussy about what kind of bag I use at the gym; it’s always an old duffle or random tote bag that I don’t mind dragging around and stuffing with sweaty socks. But after seeing the tricked out, uber-gym tote from Lululemon Athletica, $70, I am a firm believer that I will go to the gym more in ’09 if I have an amazing bag to house all my stuff.

And for anyone you know who has made the resolution to work out more in the new year, this is the perfect gift to help them kick-start their plan.

The bag has a mixed exterior of leather and canvas and comes in a really chic, black bowling bag shape. The inside is lined in water resistant nylon, has a separate plastic case that snaps in to hold cosmetics and there’s also a removable/washable dry pack to store shoes or wet clothes.

The best part is that it looks like a nice day bag that you could take from work to dinner or use while running errands. So long, stinky duffle, I am hitting the gym in style.
