Vanity Fair Oscar party canceled

2000file_barry_1116026_600 Well, if nothing else, every bruised ego in Hollywood who neverVanityfair gets invited to the annual Vanity Fair Oscar party -- and pretends not to care or actually leaves town -- can stand a bit taller.

Radaronline.com is reporting that it's velvet curtains for the post-show event. People.com has an official statement from the magazine. For anyone who has attended -- um, not me included -- the bash is a veritable constellation of colliding stars.

You could cast aMadonnaat_barry_1180472_600 dozen Woody Allen movies at the Vanity Fair Oscar party.  This news makes me wonder if the WGA tipped someone off at VF to not waste their money on a scheduled BIG party, to be held at CAA cafeteria Craft in Century City this year.

As you may know, Morton's -- the venue for all past parties -- will become the Soho House and my sources tell me that they will be holding some soirees there.

So now, it may be time to stop kissing up VFers and find a member of the Soho House to woo.
