Who will dress the next star to go to rehab?

B7f856a5577c431bba052639fcbfaf81wid As evidenced by the strike, the red carpet can roll up suddenly. Besides, it can also be awfully1203fe1 narrow when fashion designers are clamoring to get some play in the spotlight. It sounds to The Rage like the savviest of clothiers see an opportunity in dressing musicians for tours. It was just announced in WWD that Alicia Keys will exclusively wear Giorgio Armani (a croc-embossed vest with lacquered jeans is just one look) when her tour kicks off in Scotland on Feb. 25. And you may remember that the Spice Girls sported designs by Roberto Cavalli for their recent comeback tour. This is yet another push for fashion designers to "contract" celebrities to wear their clothes.

One can't help but wonder what's next: Dressing stars for funerals or their stints in rehab?  And better yet, who's ballsy enough to dress Amy Winehouse? I vote for Vivienne Westwood.
