Former Los Angeles Rams receiver Drew Hill dies at 54
Former NFL wide receiver Drew Hill, who started his career with the Los Angeles Rams and twice reached the Pro Bowl with the Houston Oilers, died Friday at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta after suffering two massive strokes, said Jay Mathis, his agent. Hill was 54.
Hill, a 12th-round draft pick from Georgia Tech, played with the Rams from 1979 to 1984. He missed the 1983 season because of an injury.
Hill spent seven seasons with the Oilers from 1985 to 1991 and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1988 and 1990. He finished his career with the Atlanta Falcons in 1992 and 1993.
Hill was born Oct. 5, 1956, in Newnan, Ga.

How sad for his family and friends. I loved watching that man play ball. He was electric and one of my all time fav LA Rams receivers even though he was not with them for his whole career.

Too many hard knocks to the head? Football is a risk/reward game. The players just want compensation so they don't have to suffer very much as they age. Most football players won't make it to age 68 without intense medical care. I surmise Mr. Hill didn't see a physician that often.
