James MacArthur, the actor who played Danny Williams in the long-running TV series ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and starred in the Disney films ‘Swiss Family Robinson’ and ‘Kidnapped,’ died Thursday, according to a publicist for Paramount Home Entertainment. He was 72.

From 1968 to 1979, MacArthur was a regular character on the original TV series, which was filmed in Hawaii. He starred opposite Jack Lord, who as Steve McGarrett had the oft-repeated line, ‘Book ‘em, Danno.’ A revamped version of the series is running this season on CBS.
