James MacArthur, regular on 'Hawaii Five-0,' dies at 72
James MacArthur, the actor who played Danny Williams in the long-running TV series "Hawaii Five-0" and starred in the Disney films "Swiss Family Robinson" and "Kidnapped," died Thursday, according to a publicist for Paramount Home Entertainment. He was 72.
From 1968 to 1979, MacArthur was a regular character on the original TV series, which was filmed in Hawaii. He starred opposite Jack Lord, who as Steve McGarrett had the oft-repeated line, "Book 'em, Danno." A revamped version of the series is running this season on CBS.
Born Dec. 8, 1937, MacArthur was the adopted son of writer Charles MacArthur and actress Helen Hayes.

So sad to read this today. I am enjoying the new "Hawaii-O" as I did the original, and loved James MacArthur in it and all of the Disney movies. My condolences to his family
